PhonemeKey Privacy Policy

Rob Zundel LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) develops and produces the PhonemeKey app and the associated keyboard extension (both of which are referred to simply as the “App”) forthwith. This page informs you or our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information we receive via the app.

Information Collection and Use

The App only collects the words and pronunciations that you add via the feature to add a word’s spelling and its pronunciation, and it only stores such words in a private storage area on your device specific to the app. No personal information is ever collected or uploaded from your device by the App to any other location nor is any information shared with any other person or organization for any reason. We will not share or export any data that you have entered via the App except as provided by iOS for the keyboard extension to pass text to a text buffer of another app that uses the extension as its means of entering text.

Analytic (Log) Data

All ranking of words or data such as which words commonly follow a given word is static information pertaining to the general population. Nothing is specific to your vocabulary or usage patterns. We may change the App in a future update to collect analytic information and to make it convenient for you to share such information or the words you add with us for incorporation into future updates. All such exports of your data will only be done if and when you explicitly take an action to do so.

Communications

We will only contact you in response to a query or posting to our web-site. We will not share your Personal Information, including contact data, with any other organization.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes To This Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 2, 2017 and will remain in effect until you update the app to a version that makes such a change.

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy with any future update. We will post such changes on our web-site (www.phonemekey.com) immediately on releasing such updates, and will identify the specific changes applicable to each update.
